We are consultants, writers and designers for heritage interpretation projects. There is a synergy between interpretation and film making in that both are telling stories about people and place.

Written in Film have designed and written an exhibition on Charles Piazzi Smyth for Edinburgh’s Nelson Monument on Calton Hill; researched, written and worked with schools to produce the interpretation for the Shale Trail in West Lothian.  

Our current work is developing the interpretation for Silverburn Flax Mill in Leven, Fife. This includes oral history recording, research and both interior and exterior aspects of the
interpretive design.
